About us

Inspried by my grandad and a love of all things Japanese, my home was adorned with Japanese culture, from the toys to tableware, the colours, textures, patterns, the feel, everyone had there favourite bowl for ramen. My grandad was a very successful business man, the respect for the craft, the culture, the hand made authentic tableware, quality and minimalism. Over the years my collection of bowls, plates, lucky cats turned into a business. 

In my nepalese culture we share a lot with japan in food, style, and of course, Buddha.

Inspired by my grandad to be a service to people, to manage a succesful business. Mr. Padam Bahadur Giri remains my mentor for how a business should be run, starting with the principles of quality over quantity, authentic, craft, hard work, attention to detail over mass produced, low quality materials. 

All our items are imported direct from craftsman in Japan, when choosing I look for one offs, small production, stunning colour, that feel that only authentic materials can offer. 

To live a life well, fill every minute with worthwhile moments and experiences. I start each day with what I choose to drink from, eat from, then the day begins. 

We opened the flagship store on 19 December 2019 after a year of planning, situated in Camden market, our beautiful tableware shop has everything you need to enhance your dining, living experience.
